He’s great at solving puzzles and making jokes. “HopeKids is so helpful for the mind, body and soul by creating those special moments [as a family]. The compassion, understanding and loving interactions of HopeKids volunteers, staff and community is so special and priceless.” - Heather, Jax’s mom3 Hope for the Holidays Your support provides an ongoing calendar of free events to help families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition have hope for the future. Watch this video to see that hope in action! Today is GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement that encourages people to give back to their communities to create positive change. At HopeKids, we are giving thanks for our generous community of supporters. Your support throughout the past year provided opportunities for families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition to have hope. Give Hope Now “HopeKids provides our daughter [Lilly] with exciting opportunities that help take her mind off doctor appointments and procedures. The events give her something to look forward to and reasons to be brave through the appointments and procedures.” – Adam, Lilly’s dad4 “My hope would be to take away parents’ and kiddos’ fears of the ‘what ifs’ in their treatment. I’m always scared the smallest cough could be something worse.” - April, Arizona What is your hope for Christmas? HopeKids families share their greatest hopes for the holiday season. “We hope that with our daughter’s last chemo in December, that she be cancer free for Christmas and for our family to be together.” - KaLo, Colorado “I hope our family is able to no longer live in lack and poverty. Praying for a job that sustains my family with a livable wage that doesn’t force me to choose between work and family obligations.” - Yasché, Kansas City “More acceptance and understanding. And always more hope. Better access to care, schooling and jobs.” - Kristen, Middle Tennessee “Our hope this year is for our 8-year- old HopeKid to say ‘Dada.’ The sound of hearing your name from your non- verbal child is indescribable and magical. This mama got her wish a few years back and hoping this year is dad’s turn.” - Katie, Minnesota “Our hope for the holidays is to be able to spend it at home with all of our family together. Charlie has spent most holidays in the hospital over the past three years, so it would be a huge blessing for him to still be in remission with no cancer and for there to be no sickness in our house for the holidays.” - Bobby, North Carolina “My hope is for HopeKids donors and volunteers to know how incredibly grateful the families are for all of you!” - Brandi, North Texas “One of my biggest hopes is that the burden of medical bills that so many of us face would be lifted. It’s overwhelming and exhausting. I know we’re not alone.” - Stacey, Arizona “Hoping for major breakthroughs in lifesaving cardiac science.” - Shari, Colorado “I hope that Layna stays healthy and out of hospital and that she is always well taken care of.” - Mona, Kansas City5 What is your hope for Christmas? “My hope for Christmas is for the UK to continue to provide modulators to the kids with cystic fibrosis. It’s heartbreaking that they may have to suffer because of money. It breaks my heart and I cannot imagine being a cystic fibrosis mom over there right now.” - Tiffany, Middle Tennessee “My daughter, Mayli, just had her bone marrow transplant. Our hope for the holidays is to go home by Christmas! We know that might not happen but we are praying for it, because she is doing great with everything so far!” - Stephanie, North Carolina “My hopes are to have my child eat by mouth so we can get rid of her central line and not be admitted in the hospital every month.” - Mehreen, North Texas “Our hope, is to be healthy enough to be able to participate in family gatherings.” - Tara, Arizona “My greatest hope is that I can be there for other special needs families so that they don’t feel the weight of the Christmas blues; to help them feel less alone, more loved and truly cared about.” - Noah’s miracle mom, Colorado “LuAnna’s hope is a year with less hospital admissions and success on a medical trial for her seizure control.” - Amanda, Middle Tennessee “Our hope is that Cecily’s regression slows down. Our hope is skill and health loss is minimal this winter. Praying her body can find more energy to stay awake longer than three hours at a time.” - Melissa, Minnesota “My hope is for my little guy to finish the year strong with zero emergency room visits, zero pain crisis and knowledge of the true meaning of Christmas!” - Tiffany, North Texas “To stay out of the hospital and home for the holidays!” - Amber, and a sentiment shared by HopeKids parents across chapters “We hope that our girl stays strong and healthy this winter! Although she looks healthy, she has a hidden illness. Some people will never understand what HopeKids families go through.” - Kara, Minnesota6 Virtual Flow With Ali Jai Dee Wellness Jay Novacek Misty Rose Gold Party Belles of Nashville Red Bird Time Thyme & Date Webs Party Services Arizona Allied Global Marketing Arizona Diamondbacks Arizona History Museum Tucson Arizona State Fair AZ Pain Doctors Ballet Arizona Butterfly Wonderland Foundation Carlisle Companies CCV Scottsdale Chicken N Pickle Christian Brothers Automotive Cold Stone Creamery Colten Cowell Foundation Commercial Plus Cornerstone Church Dance Connection 2 Desert Diamond Arena Desert Diamond Arena Marketing Desert Stages Theatre eeCPA Flathead Lake Lodge Frost Communications Galaxy Theatre General Mills Goldfish Swim School 643 events were provided by 206 different program partners in September, October & November.
