He could watch Toy Story movies all day long and is looking forward to watching Toy Story 4 at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema with other HopeKids soon. Jonathan also enjoys building, especially with his train tracks. His family joined HopeKids in January 2018 and they’ve made memories and spent quality time together at almost 30 events! “It’s very exciting to see what’s new each month. To see things that we wouldn’t be able to do on my limited income. He’s able to meet other kids and see that everyone is struggling themselves as well. It has brought us together as a family and I have been able to meet other families who are dealing with the same things. A lot of my friends don’t understand the stress and it’s great to see other families who understand the difficulty of getting from doctor-to- doctor. Everyone understands what we are going through.” - Cynthia, Jonathan’s momCALLIE’S FAMILY AT FAMILY PORTRAIT DAY IN NORTH TEXAS BUILDING HOPE one family at a time5 It’s nice to have things we can do as a family because we spend so much money on her therapies and doctor’s appointments that we don’t have extra to spend on activities. We spend so much time on her doctors’ appointments that it’s great being able to do things special with [my son] too. We have been able to connect with other families and understand what other people are going through which feels awesome because a lot of time you feel isolated and when you get to meet other families you don’t feel as lonely. Being with other people who understand what we are going through is important to us. - Andrea, Callie’s mom “ ”6 COMMUNITY SUPPORT It’s so nice to be around other families that understand the struggles of everyday life with a special needs child. It’s great to be able to do activities that we might not be able to do otherwise. “ ” HARPER’S FAMILY AT FLYING E RANCH IN ARIZONA one event at a timeIZONA8 SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR P ROGRAM P ARTNERS A rizona Actor’s Youth Theatre Alamo Drafthouse Cinema American Woodmark Foundation API Tires by Gladiator Arizona Coyotes Arizona Diamondbacks Arizona Rattlers Ballet Arizona Ballet Etudes School of Dance Bank of America Merrill Lynch Bob Wesolowski Photography Butterfly Wonderland Cancer Support Community Capital Fund 1 Center for Urban & Native Wildlife Children’s Museum of Tucson Christian Youth Theatre Phoenix Cindy Joiner Photography Colten Cowell Foundation CVS Health Desert Rivers Audubon Desert West Dance East Valley Children’s Theatre Elite Outdoor Adventures Encore Agency Event Team Inc.
